Entry Qualification- 10th Pass
Earlier named as Basic Cosmetology, during the training period the trainee learns to develop good appearance and behaviour, practices tasks as per industry standard and develops good communication skill. He/she is trained to prepare and maintain work area and maintain health and safety at the workplace; carry out epilation and depilation services; illustrate and explain hair structure & hair growth cycle; carry out manicure and pedicure services. The trainee is able to explain anatomy of nail; differentiate and identify nail disease & nail disorders; carry out facial treatments for common skin problems; illustrate and explain skin structure; carry out hair treatment for common hair problems.
After passing out the training program, the trainee is awarded National Trade Certificate (NTC) by DGT which is recognized worldwide.
The trainee can start his own salon, beauty parlour and also become Beautician, Pedicurist and Manicurist, and other related jobs
